We are now officially in autumn and the weather seems to be getting the memo (does anyone send those anymore?). The air is cooling, the sun is shining, and all in time for one of my favorite festivals! Celebrate Fuquay-Varina is this coming Saturday and its a blast. Plus, many places around town are doing their own events around the celebration so its a packed day!

One of my favorite town events is this coming Saturday! Celebrate Fuquay-Varina brings the whole town together with an enormous amount to do, see, and experience! From BMX tricks to beer gardens, museum tours to Kids’ Zone, crafts to stick buns, it’s not an experience to miss!
Winter Sport Sign Ups
Sign-ups for winter youth sports opened up last Monday on the 14th. Spots move quickly so be sure to jump online and look at what’s available! Don’t forget you need a RecTrac account.
October is National Arts and Humanities Month
This October, celebrate the arts and humanities locally by checking out F-V’s town museums, check out the schedule of events or take a class at the Fuquay-Varina Arts Center, .

🤔 Planning Ahead
Election Year
As you likely know, given the growing number of signs populating every corner or sizeable length of road, this is an election year! Make sure you’re registration is up to date here. On September 4, absentee ballots were mailed to those who requested them; remember to get those in ASAP to address any issues that may arise. Early, in-person voting runs Oct 15 to Oct 31 (here are early voting locations). Then, the general election takes place on November 4. You can check your official voting location here.
Ballot Measures
Along with the usual election of office holders, there will be three ballot measures this year. Be sure to dig into them and get informed! Here is a non-partisan breakdown of each.
FM2F-V on Hiatus

We are now deep in football season and whether or not your team is doing well it’s early enough to remain optimistic! (Or at least that’s what this Green Bay fan is telling himself…) So what better way to enjoy the season and hang with neighbors than to head to hangout and watch all the games at once!
