Hello Fuquay-Varina!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful fall and enjoying this finally seasonal weather! I’ve been dealing with a rather nasty cold (all better now, thank you!) which has delayed this publication. Still, the town moves around me and there’s plenty of ways to enjoy this fantastic weather!
Along with some fantastic Halloween events this week, including loads of extra trick or treating, I would also remind everyone that it is early Voting through the end of the month. Given the lines and crowds on Election Day, I am a strong proponent of voting early as it is much simpler.
Hope everyone has a fantastic week! Get a load of what’s happening and get out and about!

Trivia: The Fuquay-Varina Arts Center is the heart of F-V’s cultural center, showcasing talent from around the town in art, dance, and more, but it is not that old. When was the Fuquay-Varina Arts Center officially opened?

We will see the sun this week and loads of it! Even if our state’s weather is notoriously difficult to predict, you can bet we will get some sun this week! Frankly, looks awesome. I certainly plan on spending as much of it outdoors as possible! (Predictions from Accuweather, commentary is my own).

Trick or Treat Downtown!

The Fuquay-Varina Downtown Association invites you to don your costumes and head downtown to trick or treat! Participating businesses (they will have signs indicating their participation) throughout the town will be sharing treats, candy, and anything else they feel like sharing! This is one of our family’s favorite events all year!

Trunk or Treat

Get the family dressed up and trunk or treat at Century 21 on Saturday for loads of candy and treats, plus Sybil the Clown and the Fuquay Cruisers! I know my kids look forward to these ahead of Halloween proper and why not? Great way to get out, hang with neighbors, and, of course, get more candy!

Fright Night: Haunted Trail

The F-V Rotary Club, the FV High School Interact Club, and American Legion Post 116 are all teaming up to scare you silly. Head to the Haunted Trail for frights and scares, as well as, candy, food, games, and activities!

Survivor Glow Walk

Domestic violence has no place in our town. The F-V Police Department and InterAct of Wake County are partnering for survivors of domestic violence by hosting the Survivor Glow Walk at Fleming Loop Park that will have live music, food trucks, and the Glow Walk. Walk with survivors and show them they are not alone.

🤔Looking Further Ahead

Ballot Measures

Along with the usual election of office holders, there will be three ballot measures this year. Be sure to dig into them and get informed! Here is a non-partisan breakdown of each.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3rd!

As you likely know, given the growing number of signs populating every corner or sizeable length of road, this is an election year! Check your voting registration here. Early, in-person voting starts this week and runs Oct 15 to Oct 31 (here are early voting locations). Then, the general election takes place on November 3. You can check your official, election day voting location here.

Town of Fuquay-Varina 2026 Christmas Ornament!

Every year the town puts out a new ornament for Christmas, celebrating a different part of the two and its history. The ornaments cost $15 and need to be manually picked up from the John W. Byrne Municipal Building. Whether you celebrate the holiday or just want a keepsake of the town, check it out at the town online store!
